CHANGE IN TIMES FOR SUMMER BAND

Parents and Students: THE TIMES FOR THE WEEK OF AUGUST 10th-13th OF SUMMER BAND HAS BEEN CHANGED.  Due to having new staff members on the LHS Band staff, we have decided to change summer band times (for that week only) to 12pm-9pm. Students will receive a one hour dinner break from 4-5pm where they will provide their own meals, (just like the lunches in previous weeks) and we will be outdoors in the stadium that evening. FRIDAY THAT WEEK WILL STAY FROM 8am-5pm BECAUSE OF THE BAND BBQ THAT EVENING.

 

The reason for this change is because our new staff members will be in “new teacher in-service” in the morning and we will not have them to teach our kids. In order to have the entire band team there for our students we have moved the band camp times. We understand this is a large shift in your day, but the band hall will be open that morning if you would like to drop your children off earlier.

 

We are very sorry for the shift in time that week, but we believe it will be best for our students to get the best teaching possible.

CHARMS LOGIN FOR 8TH GRADERS

8th grade parents and students…

Many of you have been requesting to be added into the charms system so you can receive e-mail updates. We will be adding all of you to our charms system once our school year closes. We can’t add 8th graders until we graduate our seniors out of the system. Once we do that, we will have your middle school directors transfer your accounts to us.

LEANDER BAND SHUTTERFLY ACCOUNT

Thanks to one of our parents, Stuart Mencher, we have an LHS Band Shutterfly site.  Mr. Mencher has already loaded over 700 pictures from our Parent Exhibition Night and our first football game.   So these pictures are accessible to band students and parents only, we posted the link to this site on Charms.  Log in to Charms, select the “Handouts & Files” tab, and scroll down to the Shutterfly PDF, which contains the link.  If you have any questions, please contact Suzanne Ledbetter at parliamentarian@leanderband.com    ENJOY!!

If you are an incoming freshman or new to our program, please click on the instructions link below and follow the instructions to ensure you receive update information on all of our practices, events, and any changes that might occur.  If you are a returning student to the program, please take the time to log on to your CHARMS account and review your information.  We need contact information filled in for students AND parents.  This information is shared with no one.  It is only used for communication through emails and mailers.
